Chartered Institute of Bankers, Ghana (CIB Ghana) was established by an Act of Parliament, the Chartered Institute of Bankers Ghana Act, 2019 (Act 991). By the Act, CIB Ghana has the mandate of promoting the study of banking and regulating the practice of the banking profession in the country.

We serve as a professional body for bankers, banks and other financial institutions. We establish competency framework for professional banking education and the ethical standards that are expected of trusted professionals. Our professional qualification is globally aligned. CIB Ghana is a member of the Global Banking Education Standards Board (GBEStB) and Alliance of African Institute of Bankers (AAIOB).
